Retrofit Solutions
When it comes to decarbonisation and retrofit projects, a lot of our work is about educating clients about just how much of a difference the right windows and doors can make to SAP Points and Energy Ratings. We also advise on the benefits of triple glazing versus double glazing on individual projects and will only specify what contributes most to the overall energy efficiency.
One of our latest retrofit offerings, is the retrofitting of trickle vents where they may not be in the originally installed window, but provide vital ventilation to the success of a Healthy Home, eradication of DMC and supporting resident heath. However, for us, the key to successful retrofit and decarbonisation programmes, is to take a consultative and strategic approach to Whole House refurbishments. For example, we will not fit windows into a property if the ventilation hasn’t been installed.
Working in partnership with our clients, and taking a consultative approach, everything we do is to ensure maximum energy efficiency, maximum resident warmth and comfort, and maximum value for money. We can also provide evidence and support for clients who are trying to access funding.
Solar Panels
In partnership with our secure, professional supply chain, we install MCS accredited and warranted solar panels that improve the energy efficiency of your housing stock as the certified Principal Contractor.
External Wall Insulation
External Wall Insulation (EWI) offers a solution to homes constructed with solid walls to become more thermally efficient. We provide a range of EWI solutions (single or multi-storey, solid wall, non-traditional or cavity construction), which feature a variety of insulation materials and external finishes.
Zero.8 Thin Triple Glazing
Our new thin triple glazing unit offers up to 90% greater thermal efficiency compared with standard double-glazed units. The ultra thin centre pane means the unit can be retrofitted into existing frames and deliver a u-value of 0.8 w/m2k. It is also designed to meet Future Homes requirements. The advanced construction features a 100% glass monolithic core, making it fully recyclable. Laminated and coated options are also available.
