ABP Fundamentals
Anglian Building Products (ABP) has been delivering windows and doors to the UK social housing market for over 60 years. We're also market leaders, occupy pivotal roles within numerous trade associations, and actively participate in consultations to support our commitment to driving positive change in the sector. Through this positioning and our extensive project experience means we have developed an adaptable, added value, efficient service delivery on a national scale, based around our fundamentals, or USPs.
Scale
As part of the large and well-established ASHI group, ABP can draw on significant group resources to deliver large, medium, and small localised projects, efficiently and accurately across multiple sites, at any one time. Our own in-house extrusion, manufacturing and installation, means we can flex to higher demand and release additional capacity as required. We deliver a Think Local first strategy by investing in the communities in which we live and work through opening local depots and offering apprenticeships. employment, training, and resources, with social value always at the heart of our offering.
Sustainability
Sustainability is high on our agenda; we have been measuring our carbon footprint since 2019. In line with the UK Government, Anglian Building Products is committed to reaching net zero by 2050. This means that our total greenhouse gas emissions would be equal to the emissions removed from the atmosphere, with the aim of limiting global warming and the resultant climate change.
Our environmental management systems are certified by the British Standards Institute to ISO 14001, and we also hold Made In Britain and BES 6001 Responsible Sourcing certifications. We operate a closed-loop PVC-U recycling system, which is Recovinyl approved, we co-extrude recycled materials into non-critical and non-visible areas of our new products.
ESG is fundamental to our business and our group, guided by transparency, responsibility and authenticity.
Social Value
Our Social Value Level 2 Management Certificate and Social Value Pioneer status as part of our Social Value UK membership, recognises ABP’s strong commitment to delivering meaningful outcomes for communities, clients, and the planet. We maintain a 5% apprenticeship commitment, and have specialist Social Value Coordinators in place who are always guided by transparency, responsibility, and environmental stewardship.

Our vertical integration, meaning we have a predominantly in-house supply chain based in the UK, has a huge positive impact on the quality of our products. From extrusion of profiles and gaskets, fabrication of frames, manufacture of warm edge technology glass units (including toughened, laminated and decorative glass) , directly delivered installation, to removal of old windows returned to our in-house recycling facility, quality, sustainability and customer service are guaranteed.
Our closed-loop Recovinyl approved PVC-U recycling process, allows us to extrude recycled materials and incorporate them into non-critical and non-visible parts of the new PVC-U windows and doors. Typically, our products contain 60% recycled PVC-U, and the recycled glass content can be up to 30%.
Partnership approach
It's only through working closely with clients, listening, learning and advising, that long term projects can be successful and offer real value for money. We invest in the communities in which we work through applying structures, employment, training, and resources, with social value a non-negotiable offering. Everything we do from the Senior Leadership Team to our installers on site is centered on a strategy of partnership, with customer collaboration, local investment and social value at the core. This is backed up by investment into advanced technology and services and cutting-edge data capabilities which we share with clients as part of our added value solutions.
